Founded in 2011, Finesse Plumbing and Heating provides oil, gas, and air-source heating and plumbing for domestic and commercial clients in East Yorkshire. We’ve been a trusted supplier and installer of theirs since 2023, but the roots of our relationship go way back to Director and Founder Murray Shanley’s days as a gas company apprentice.

Finesse’s Need for Low Carbon Heat Pumps

It was also in 2023 that we announced we were launching Logic Air and entering the heat pump market so we could support our customers with the transition to low carbon heating. And it was at this point that Murray’s happiness about working with us became even more apparent.

The transition away from traditional, gas or combi boilers to low-carbon alternatives isn’t just one that homeowners are having to get on board with. Both heating installers and engineers are having to adapt with the products they supply and/or service to support the low-carbon heating technology agenda. Putting Logic Air Heat Pumps into Action

So, where has Murray and his team seen the most benefit from our Logic Air monobloc heat pumps? 

Well, one of their key projects for these products was at the Wolds Escape Glampsite in East Yorkshire. The glamping providers were struggling with a constant supply of hot water for hotel-quality showers, reliable heating, and efficient hot tubs for guests. Finesse Plumbing and Heating advised them to switch from a heating system based on electric radiators to our Logic Air heat pump, and the Glampsite has been ‘thrilled’ with the results.

Second-to-None Heat Pump Installation, Maintenance and Support

Like any heat pump or boiler, you can control the planned preventative maintenance schedule but you can’t control the elements. On Boxing Day 2024, high winds caused a flue to be pulled out of a Logic Air heat pump belonging to a Finesse Plumbing and Heating client. Our air source heat pump engineers were straight onto the issue, going ‘above and beyond’ to remedy the flue (and keep festive spirits in tact!).

Looking ahead, Finesse Plumbing and Heating are in prime position to supply more customers with alternate, low-carbon heating technologies. And given we’re only 25 years away from the government’s 2050 net zero goal, this simple switch is highly effective in making sure we’re all playing our part in getting there. Government initiatives, like the heat pump grant, are also involved.

"If heat pumps aren’t easy to install, the Government won’t come close to meeting its targets. Thankfully, Ideal’s thoughtful design has made the transition much smoother for us, and we’re planning to install even more Logic Air units this year.
