BPEC CEO visits Ideal’s new National Training and Technology Centre
Ideal Heating welcomed CEO of BPEC, Neil Collishaw, to its new National Training and Technology Centre on January 31st.
The state-of-the-art facility in Bridgehead focuses on low-carbon heating, offering BPEC-accredited training courses and qualifications to thousands of installers across the UK, as part of Ideal’s Expert Academy.
Meeting with Andrew Johnson, Training Director at Ideal Heating, Mr. Collishaw was given a tour of the centre, visiting the range of best-in-class training facilities and speaking with some of the technical training team, who present the BPEC Low Temperature System design qualification.
Offering innovative, renewable-focused training, the centre aims to support the industry as the UK works to upskill its installer base to meet net-zero targets. In the last year alone, the Ideal Expert Academy trained 165 people for their BPEC Heat Pump qualification.
BPEC is an industry leader in providing qualifications, assessments, courses and learning materials to ensure installers receive the best standards of training. Combining this with hands-on practical equipment, such as a fully functioning live heat pump training suite, means the centre will be one of the first of its kind.
