That’s why Halo onboarding is now even easier.

Following installer feedback, Halo can now be connected to your customer’s Wi-Fi directly from your own device using the LinkPro app. That means no waiting for customers to download apps, no awkward handovers and no reliance on a customer’s phone to complete the set-up.

Instead, you can get Halo connected and commissioned quickly and confidently using your own device.

The best part? It can be done in just three simple steps.

Ideal Heating’s smart control platform for boilers and heat pumps combines plug-and-play connectivity, straightforward commissioning and intuitive controls that make it easy for homeowners to manage their heating.

Now, thanks to the latest LinkPro update, getting customers connected is easier than ever.

At Ideal, we’re always looking for ways to make installation, commissioning and customer handover easier.

One thing installers told us was that Halo onboarding could be more flexible, particularly when:

  • Customers aren’t confident using apps or smart technology

  • The Halo app hasn’t been downloaded before installation

  • The installer isn’t physically with the customer during final commissioning

  • Time on site is limited

So, we listened.

The latest LinkPro update puts installers firmly in control of the onboarding process, helping customers get connected faster while making commissioning simpler and more efficient.

Halo setup in three simple steps

Getting started couldn’t be easier.

Step 1: Download LinkPro

Download the LinkPro app and sign in using your Connect account details. Your customer must download the Halo app and set up a Halo account in advance.

Step 2: Connect Halo

Install Halo on the boiler or heat pump, ensuring the Programmable Room Thermostat is paired to the Halo Smart Interface.

Open the LinkPro app and select Connect Halo, then choose the type of heating system you’re commissioning:

  • Boiler

  • Heat Pump

Next, press and hold the override button on the Halo Interface until the connectivity LED flashes blue.

Step 3: Let LinkPro do the work

The LinkPro app will automatically connect the Halo Interface and complete the setup process.

Once connected, you’ll be able to generate a QR code for your customer to complete their registration.

Not with the customer? No problem.

They’ll receive an email inviting them to complete registration later.

That’s it. Halo connected and ready to go.

The new onboarding process gives installers greater control over commissioning while helping homeowners enjoy a smoother experience from day one.
