Halo setup made simple: Connect customers using the LinkPro app
Halo onboarding is now as easy as 1, 2, 3
Whether you’re fitting a boiler or commissioning a heat pump, the last thing you need is a complicated set-up process, a forgotten password or having to borrow a customer’s phone just to get everything connected.
That’s why Halo onboarding is now even easier.
Following installer feedback, Halo can now be connected to your customer’s Wi-Fi directly from your own device using the LinkPro app. That means no waiting for customers to download apps, no awkward handovers and no reliance on a customer’s phone to complete the set-up.
Instead, you can get Halo connected and commissioned quickly and confidently using your own device.
The best part? It can be done in just three simple steps.
Making heating simpler
Making heating simpler is what Halo was designed to do.
Ideal Heating’s smart control platform for boilers and heat pumps combines plug-and-play connectivity, straightforward commissioning and intuitive controls that make it easy for homeowners to manage their heating.
For installers, Halo helps deliver a smarter, more connected heating system. For homeowners, it provides simple, flexible control from day one.
Now, thanks to the latest LinkPro update, getting customers connected is easier than ever.
Built around installer feedback
At Ideal, we’re always looking for ways to make installation, commissioning and customer handover easier.
One thing installers told us was that Halo onboarding could be more flexible, particularly when:
Customers aren’t confident using apps or smart technology
The Halo app hasn’t been downloaded before installation
The installer isn’t physically with the customer during final commissioning
Time on site is limited
So, we listened.
The latest LinkPro update puts installers firmly in control of the onboarding process, helping customers get connected faster while making commissioning simpler and more efficient.
Halo setup in three simple steps
Getting started couldn’t be easier.
Step 1: Download LinkPro
Download the LinkPro app and sign in using your Connect account details. Your customer must download the Halo app and set up a Halo account in advance.
Step 2: Connect Halo
Install Halo on the boiler or heat pump, ensuring the Programmable Room Thermostat is paired to the Halo Smart Interface.
Open the LinkPro app and select Connect Halo, then choose the type of heating system you’re commissioning:
Boiler
Heat Pump
Next, press and hold the override button on the Halo Interface until the connectivity LED flashes blue.
Step 3: Let LinkPro do the work
The LinkPro app will automatically connect the Halo Interface and complete the setup process.
Once connected, you’ll be able to generate a QR code for your customer to complete their registration.
Not with the customer? No problem.
They’ll receive an email inviting them to complete registration later.
That’s it. Halo connected and ready to go.
Less hassle. More control.
The new onboarding process gives installers greater control over commissioning while helping homeowners enjoy a smoother experience from day one.
By removing the need to rely on a customer’s phone during setup, installers can complete the process more efficiently and with greater flexibility. It’s particularly useful when customers aren’t confident with technology or when commissioning needs to be completed remotely.
Making smart heating simpler
Halo was designed to make heating control simple for homeowners.
Now LinkPro makes setting it up simpler for installers too.
It’s another example of how installer feedback helps shape the products, tools and services we provide.
Effortless setup. Less hassle. Better customer experiences.
That’s Ideal.
