Ideal Heating and EDF team up to cut costs and emissions

Company News11 June 2025

At Ideal, we’ve taken another big step on our low carbon journey by extending our strategic partnership with EDF Energy.

From May 2025 anyone who gets an Ideal air source heat pump installed through EDF can take advantage of a brand-new energy tariff – one that removes standing charges, cuts costs, and makes switching to low carbon heating that bit easier.

It’s called the Heat Pump and Save Tracker tariff.

It’s simple, transparent and offers real savings from the moment your heat pump is up and running.

So, what’s the offer and how will it benefit you?

Here’s what makes the tariff stand out:

  • No standing charge – saving at least £360 per year

  • Off-peak electricity discounts every day (4–7am and 1–4pm)

  • No exit fees or surprises

  • £500 off the cost of an air source heat pump install (first 50 customers)

  • Finance and referral rewards available too

It’s available for customers who place a deposit before 30 September 2025 and complete their install by 31 December 2025.

When combined with the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, that means some homeowners could get up and running with a heat pump system from as little as £3,180.

That’s a big step towards making low carbon heating mainstream – and affordable.

The reassurance you need

We know that switching to a heat pump is a big decision. You want to be confident you’re getting the right product, the right install, and a fair deal on energy bills once it’s in.

That’s exactly why this partnership works. It brings together our proven, British-built heating technology with EDF’s zero carbon electricity and customer-first approach. And it gives homeowners something they can rely on – performance, support, and day-to-day savings.

EDF are also backing their side of the deal with a Heat Pump Promise – if the heat pump doesn’t keep the home warm as it should, they’ll refund the customer. That’s the kind of reassurance you need when making the switch.

Ideal’s low carbon push

At Ideal Heating, we’re serious about playing our part in decarbonising the UK’s homes. That means investing in training, building out our Expert Academy, expanding our product portfolio, and working with organisations like EDF who share our ambition.

Our Logic Air heat pump is at the heart of that journey. It’s smart, efficient, compact, and backed by expert UK-based support teams. And crucially, it’s designed for the real world – for British homes and British weather.

We know there’s still a long way to go, but partnerships like this one are exactly how we get there faster.
