Meet the Experts: Sasha-Louise Munro
Sasha-Louise Munro has been with Ideal Heating since December 2022.
A Hull native, Sasha-Louise joined Ideal Heating after three years studying at the University of Lincoln.
Graduating at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Sasha-Louise was limited in her options. She decided to move back to Hull and found a job working in Sales and Marketing at a local bespoke induction video company, where she was able to utilise the InDesign and Photoshop skills that she had developed on her university course.
Sasha worked there for over a year and a half, before she was contacted by a recruiter at Ideal Heating, about a job at Expert Academy.
“Joining Ideal Heating felt like a no-brainer. I was well aware of them being one of the biggest employers in the region, and from initial discussions with the team, I knew there would be plenty of opportunity to progress through the role.”
Sasha became a Technical Training Administrator, and is part of a team that organises training sessions for installers, helping them to understand their needs and get them the training that best suits them.
“I speak with a lot of installers over the phone, helping them with everything from what kind of training they’re after, and the logistics of the training sessions themselves. I really like dealing with people, and find it really satisfying when I’m able to help people to get the training that they want and need.”
Sasha also acknowledges that her job is crucial if the UK Government is to achieve its target of 600,000 heat pump installations annually by 2028.
“I am part of a team that is helping to upskill the next generation of heat pump engineers. It’s satisfying for me knowing that the work that I am doing is helping to have such a positive effect on people, the country, and the planet.
“Its interesting where you end up in life. I really enjoyed art at school, and was keen to be an illustrator. While I find myself still doing bits and bobs on the side, I am really enjoying my job at Ideal Heating. Whether it be supporting the team with funding work, or setting up training, there’s always something different to get stuck into. The role is continuously developing.
“Outside of work I enjoy doing aerial fitness, which is an interesting change of pace to my day job.”
