New Logic range Product Features
At Ideal Heating, we are committed to enhancing our products based on customer feedback while staying aligned with industry standards and legislation. As part of this commitment, we are excited to introduce some added features to our flagship range of Logic boilers. These features are designed to enhance performance and deliver even greater efficiency, offering additional flexibility for installers and homeowners alike.
Factory Set Flow Temperature at 60°C
Previously, Logic combi boilers were factory set to an 80°C flow temperature. However, with improved home insulation and updated building regulations advocating for lower heating temperatures, we are making a small but impactful enhancement.
The factory-set flow temperature for Logic combi boilers will be adjusted to 60°C. This setting encourages more efficient operation straight out of the box and supports energy savings for homeowners.
Flexibility for Your System
While 60°C is the default setting, users can still customise the flow temperature to suit specific system designs or personal preferences. Whether you require a lower or higher flow temperature, the choice is entirely yours.
Second Switched Live for Heat and System Boilers
To enhance flexibility and efficiency, we are introducing a second switched live connection on Logic Heat and System boilers. This added feature enables central heating and hot water to operate at different temperatures, providing greater control and optimised performance.
What Does This Mean?
Previously, these boilers relied on a single switched live connection unless paired with an outdoor temperature sensor.
With the new second switched live feature:
Central heating flow temperatures can be reduced (e.g., to 55°C) for better energy efficiency and lower running costs.
Hot water flow temperatures can be set higher (e.g., 70+°C) to meet cylinder thermostat settings (typically 65°C), ensuring sufficient hot water supply.
Installer Benefits
Installers now have the option to activate one or two switched lives, based on system requirements:
Default Setting: A single switched live connection, as before.
Activation of SL2: Simple activation via the installer menu allows different flow temperatures for central heating and hot water. The hot water demand input is connected to SL2, while central heating demand remains on SL1.
This added feature provides even greater flexibility and efficiency without altering the existing functionality.
These new features will be introduced as follows:
Logic Max and Logic+ boilers (combi, system, and heat): Manufactured from 13th November 2024.
Logic boilers (combi, system, and heat): Manufactured from 25th November 2024.
