We’re Manufacturer of the Year! Ideal Heating wins at the HVR Awards 2026
We’re incredibly proud to share that Ideal Heating has been named Manufacturer of the Year at the HVR Awards 2026.
It’s a fantastic accolade, and one that means a great deal to us because it recognises not simply the products we manufacture, but the people, expertise, service and support behind them.
Over recent years, we’ve been on one of the biggest journeys of transformation in Ideal Heating’s history.
As the UK’s leading boiler manufacturer, we knew we had both an opportunity and a responsibility to play a leading role in the transition to low-carbon heating. But for us, that was never going to mean simply adding heat pumps to our product range.
We wanted to build the expertise, infrastructure and support around them too.
Investing in the future of heating
That ambition has seen us invest significantly in our people and facilities, from developing new research and development expertise and UK manufacturing capabilities to growing our Expert Academy training network, design services and specialist heat pump aftercare support.
Today, we have leading training facilities across the UK, including our flagship National Training and Technology Centre in East Yorkshire. Through our heat pump Skills Bootcamp programme, we’ve also provided free training to more than 4,700 installers, helping more heating professionals develop the skills and confidence they need for the future.
And we’re continuing to invest here in Hull.
Our wider programme of investment in low-carbon heating capabilities totals around £60 million, spanning manufacturing, logistics, training, customer support and research and development. That includes our £19.2 million UK Technology Centre, created to help develop and test the next generation of heating technologies here in the UK.
Making the transition easier for our customers
Through all that change, one thing has remained constant: our focus on our customers.
We want to make the transition from boilers to heat pumps as straightforward as possible, giving installers, developers, housing providers and homeowners the products, knowledge and support they need at every stage.
That’s why our investment goes far beyond the product itself.
We’ve built dedicated design services to help ensure systems are specified correctly from the outset and developed specialist heat pump aftercare backed by remote diagnostics and nationwide engineering support. Today, more than 70% of reported heat pump issues can be resolved remotely, delivering quicker support while reducing unnecessary engineer journeys.
It’s this complete approach – from product development and manufacturing through to training, design and aftercare – that is helping us build on more than a century of heating expertise for a very different future.
