Lifetime warranty upgrade terms and conditions
Important Information and Terms
In addition to the standard warranty that comes with your heat pump system, Ideal Heating offers an optional Lifetime Warranty upgrade.
The Lifetime Warranty provides ongoing warranty cover for as long as your Ideal heat pump system remains installed in your property and you pay for the lifetime warranty plan. It also includes the annual servicing required to keep your warranty valid.
Please read the following terms carefully, as they explain how the Lifetime Warranty works and what is required to keep it active.
1. Eligibility
You can choose to upgrade to the Lifetime Warranty within six (6) months of your heat pump being installed and commissioned.
2. What is covered
The Lifetime Warranty covers the Ideal Heating–supplied parts of your system, which may include:
Heat pump outdoor unit
Heat pump control unit
Pre-plumbed unvented cylinder and its associated components
Halo controls
3. Subscription and payments
The Lifetime Warranty is provided through a monthly subscription. Your cover will remain in place for as long as the subscription remains active.
4. Servicing
The subscription cost is based on the annual servicing requirements of your specific system. Servicing is not included in the standard warranty, but is included as part of the Lifetime Warranty subscription.
5. Cancelling your subscription
If you cancel the subscription at any time, the Lifetime Warranty will end immediately. Your system will then revert to any remaining period of the original warranty. If the original warranty has already expired, no warranty cover will remain.
6. Contact details
When applying for the Lifetime Warranty, you must provide a valid email address. This will be used only to contact you about arranging annual service visits and related warranty matters. It will not be used for marketing purposes.
7. Use of personal data
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with Ideal Heating’s Privacy Policy, which is available on the Ideal Heating website at idealheating.com.
8. Annual service payment adjustments
As the subscription relates to annual servicing:
If you have paid fewer than nine (9) monthly payments in a year but have already received the annual service, you will be required to pay the remaining balance for that year.
9. Reporting a fault
If you experience a problem with your system, you must contact Ideal Heating on 01482 498660 so that the issue can be resolved as quickly as possible.
10. Beyond economical repair (BER)
If your heat pump cannot be repaired economically—because the required parts cost more than £2,000 (including VAT), are no longer available, or a lasting repair is not possible—the following will apply:
If the heat pump is less than 10 years old from the installation and commissioning date, it will be replaced under the Lifetime Warranty.
If the heat pump is over 10 years old but under 15 years old, a £1,000 discount will be applied to the quoted retail list price of a replacement unit.
If the heat pump is over 15 years old, a £750 discount will be applied to the quoted retail list price of a replacement unit.
11. Standard warranty terms
The Lifetime Warranty is subject to the standard Ideal Heating heat pump warranty terms and conditions.
12. Booking your annual service
We will contact you approximately 90 days before the anniversary of your installation and commissioning date to arrange your annual service. We will attempt to contact you up to three times. If we do not receive a response, we will send a final written notice.
