Heat pumps

Our air source heat pumps provide a more sustainable, responsible home heating solution. With monobloc and split heat pumps available, you can select the option that best suits your home and needs.

At Ideal Heating, we work hard to provide a straightforward transition to renewable heating for end users, installers, contractors, social housing and new build developers. All of our heat pumps have an impressively high coefficient of performance (COP), often over 300% efficient, meaning a high ratio of heat produced to energy consumed.

Choose a heat pump for more sustainable home heating today.

New Build Heating Systems FAQs

  • What boiler is best for a new build?

When selecting a boiler for your new build property, consider the size of the building, the water pressure, the number of taps and the number of occupants.

For smaller buildings, a combi boiler is excellent for saving space and can provide both heating and hot water on demand. However, its compact size means it can only supply one tap with hot water at a time.

For a new build property that will have a higher number of occupants or multiple bathrooms, we recommend a system boiler, which can store hot water in a large cylinder, allowing it to supply hot water to multiple areas of the home at once. System boilers are also a strong option for new builds in areas with lower water pressure.

  • Will a heat pump increase the value of a new build?

According to a study by Scottish Power and the WWF, a heat pump can increase a home's value by up to 3%. Our guide, ‘Should I Install a Heat Pump in My Home?’, can help you further understand how an air-source heat pump can benefit your new-build property.

  • Will a boiler increase the value of a new build?

Energy efficiency increases property value according to UK bank Nationwide, with a 1.7% increase in value for properties in bands A and B compared to band D. Choosing an energy-efficient boiler is a significant way to improve the efficiency rating of your new build.
